What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Under UK law (PECR and the UK GDPR), we can set cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you ask for without your consent. For all other cookies we need your consent, and nothing optional is loaded before you give it.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| __Host-tc_session (on older sessions: tc_session) | Keeps you logged in. Contains a random token (we store only its hash in the database). Set after you log in; httpOnly cookie, not accessible to scripts. | Strictly necessary: no consent required | 30 days, renewed with activity; no longer than 90 days in total from login (editorial and admin accounts: 7 days) |
| __Host-tc_device (locally: tc_device) | Recognises the browser you last logged in from successfully, so that other people’s login attempts on your account do not lock you out (login security). Contains a signed timestamp and no personal data; httpOnly cookie. Set only for accounts with a confirmed email address: after a successful login, after confirming or changing your email address, and after changing or resetting your password. Changing or resetting your password invalidates cookies set earlier. It stays after you log out. | Strictly necessary: no consent required | 1 year |
| tc_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so that we do not ask you on every visit. | Strictly necessary: no consent required | 180 days |
| tc_region | Remembers the region (city) you have chosen, to filter ads and events. Set only once you choose a region. | Functional, set at your request | 1 year |
| tc_lang | Remembers the interface language (Polish or English) chosen with the PL | EN switch. Without it, we pick the language from your browser settings. Set only when you click the switch; httpOnly cookie. | Functional, set at your request | 1 year |
Analytics and marketing: we do not use any third-party analytics, advertising or social media cookies or scripts. We produce visitor statistics only as aggregate data: aggregate data from our own database and traffic statistics from the Cloudflare dashboard, without analytics cookies. The consent mechanism is ready, so if we ever introduce optional tools, they will be loaded only with your consent, and this table will be updated. Traffic passes through Cloudflare (protection and DNS); if Cloudflare sets its own technical security cookie, it is used only to protect the service and is strictly necessary for it to work.
Affiliate links: links labelled “Affiliate link” (for example on the Recommended services page and next to tickets for some events) go through our redirect address to the affiliate network and the partner’s website. We do not set any cookies when this happens. The partner or affiliate network may set its own cookies on its own website to credit us with any commission; the partner and its cookie policy are responsible for those.
How to change your choices
- You can change your cookie choices at any time in cookie settings (the link is also in the footer of every page).
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from logging in.
- The cookie banner is a bar at the bottom of the page and does not cover the content.
