Government doubles rough sleeping funding to £874m, with pledge of a route off the streets for everyone by Christmas
On 25 October 2026 Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced a further £432m to tackle rough sleeping. Total investment will rise to £874m, with the aim of offering everyone sleeping rough a route off the streets.
