Finnish and Norwegian leaders hold phone call with Putin on war in Ukraine
Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre spoke with Vladimir Putin on 27 October 2026. According to the BBC, it is the first direct contact between European leaders and the Russian president in over a year.
