It always closes at 22:00. By default it opens at 10:00. On the following days it opens later:

The other days are not on the list of exceptions, so according to the organiser it opens at 10:00 on them. You can also see the hours for a particular date in the header of the organiser's website and in the ticket calendar, so check them before you buy.
Christmas and New Year days:
- Christmas Eve (24 December): it is not on the list of later openings, so according to the organiser it opens at 10:00 and closes at 22:00.
- 25 December: closed.
- 26 December: as above, it opens at 10:00 and closes at 22:00. The Elizabeth line does not run that day (see "How to get there").
- New Year's Eve (31 December) and New Year's Day (1 January): 11:00–22:00.
- 3 January 2027 is the last day and Family Fun Day. The organiser has not yet announced the details.
How entry works:
- You enter in hourly slots from 10:00 to 20:00. In the terms and conditions, the last slot is 20:00–21:30.
- Last entry is at 21:30.
- You enter in your slot and can then stay until closing time at 22:00.
- Some ride and attraction queues close earlier.
- Last orders at the bars: 21:45. Some food outlets may close earlier.
Preview Night (a preview evening in aid of The Royal Parks charity) takes place on Wednesday 18 November. Tickets are sold out, but there is a waiting list. Details on the The Royal Parks website.
Entry tickets
Everyone needs an entry ticket, whatever their age (the organiser says "whether you're 2 or 92"). Children under 2 enter free, but they must have a ticket too. Children pay separately for attractions.
You buy only from the authorised partner, SeeTickets. Tickets from other sellers are invalid (terms and conditions, clause 9.3).
In 2026 the price includes the booking fee: the organiser promises that "the price you see is the price you pay". The price depends on the colour of the slot:
| Type | Slot colour | Price | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Off-Peak | green | £1.00 | including every Monday–Thursday in November |
| Standard | gold | £5.50 | on other dates |
| Peak | orange | £8.25 | mainly later in the day and at weekends |
Advance prices, as of October 2026.
What about the £1.00 Off-Peak ticket? The organiser says that Off-Peak slots are "always free" (you still have to book a ticket), while the website shows a price of £1.00. How the two fit together is not clear. You will see the final price when you book. The organiser has set aside half a million places for Off-Peak tickets. Attractions are also cheaper in Off-Peak slots.
Other things worth knowing:
- Advance sales: advance prices apply until 23:59 on the day before your visit. Booking ahead saves up to 25% compared with the on-the-day price. The organiser does not give the on-the-day prices and says only that they are higher.
- Buying on the day: you can buy a ticket on site, but on popular dates slots sell out earlier.
- Free entry: if you spend over £25 online, in advance and in a single transaction on attractions, rides, packages, Ride & Game Credit (a top-up for rides and games) or food bundles, each £25 unlocks one free entry ticket. You save up to £9.50 per person. This works online only.
- Refunds: tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. You can change the date up to 72 hours before your visit using the tool on the website.
- Klarna: pay-in-instalments is available on orders over £50.

There is a security check at the entrance: all bags are searched, and metal detectors may be used. If you refuse the check, you will not be admitted and there is no refund. Entry may be slower because of this.
Bags: only small handbags or small rucksacks, no larger than A4. Large bags and suitcases will not be allowed in. The organiser has no cloakroom and advises leaving luggage at home or in a left-luggage service (the Bounce and Stasher apps, LockerPoint lockers at Marble Arch).
What you can't bring in (the organiser's full list):
- your own alcohol (even if gift-wrapped),
- glass bottles and glass,
- opened bottles of drinks (factory-sealed water is allowed, and so are empty cups and reusable bottles),
- food (at security's discretion; exceptions: baby food and medical food),
- scooters, skateboards, bicycles, chairs and stools,
- flags, sound equipment, fireworks and sparklers, lanterns,
- drones, laser pointers, knives, nitrous oxide and drugs,
- hi-vis vests,
- professional photographic equipment (cameras with interchangeable lenses, GoPros, tripods, selfie sticks) and recording glasses (e.g. Meta).
You can keep your phone and an ordinary camera with you.
Fancy dress: the ban covers Father Christmas, elf, reindeer and snowman costumes, hi-vis vests, masks and non-religious face coverings.
Age and children:
- Children (under 12) and babies (under 2) are admitted only with an adult (18+).
- One adult can have at most one infant ticket in a booking.
- The person buying tickets must be at least 18.
- On request you must show proof of identity and age (passport, driving licence, PASS card).
- The organiser provides free wristbands for children with a parent's phone number. Agree a meeting point as well.
Dogs are allowed on a lead, but not into the attractions (exception: assistance dogs). Other animals are not allowed.
Re-entry is usually not possible, even to retrieve lost items: you would need a new ticket. The rules are in the terms and conditions.
Accessibility for disabled visitors
Details are in the organiser's Help Centre.
- Terrain: all entrances are step-free (the park's tarmac paths), and the ground is covered with temporary trackway. It is mostly flat, with gentle slopes.
- Queues: there are separate queues for disabled visitors at every gate (Green, Gold, Red, Blue). Red Gate (north) is the family entrance and is usually calmer.
- Essential Companion ticket is free for people who need support. You need an Access Card (Nimbus Disability, £15 for 3 years) or the free Hyde Park Winter Wonderland Digital Access Pass (apply through Nimbus, valid for 3 years) with a +1 or +2 symbol. The companion must be at least 13. One companion ticket is issued per transaction (with +2, customer services issue the second).
- Wheelchairs: all attractions that need booking are accessible except the Real Ice Slide. Some have a limit on wheelchairs at one time (ice rink: a maximum of 5 wheelchairs per session, powered wheelchairs in manual mode, a companion recommended on the ice). Tell the organiser about your needs when you book.
- Reduced-capacity ice rink sessions (quieter, with softer lighting): Wednesday 25 November 14:00, Monday 30 November 16:00 and Monday 28 December 11:00.
- Rides: there are usually no separate queues or fast track for disabled visitors (temporary site). Staff do not lift guests into the ride vehicles.
- Toilets: they are in all six main blocks and behind the Bavarian Hall and the Fire Pit. There are two Changing Places toilets ("High Dependency Units"), opened with a RADAR key (you can borrow one on site at the box office or information point). Toilets have baby-changing facilities.
- Quiet zone: covered and heated, with neutral lighting and no music, in the north of the site by the family entrance. During the day there are also quieter spaces in Bavarian Village, the Bavarian Hall and the street food area.
- Help on site: there is an accessibility manager ("Accessibility Champions") and first aid.
- Hire: there is no wheelchair hire on site. You can hire wheelchairs, scooters and pushchairs from Chelsea's Rentals at Marble Arch.
- Guides: the organiser provides an Access Guide and a Sensory Guide. It is worth reading them, as the event has flashing lights, camera flashes and music.
- Contact: a form in the Help Centre (Accessibility category; you can ask for a call back).

Bond Street has step-free access to the Elizabeth line.
- The nearest stations can be closed. According to the FAQ these are Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge and Green Park (the Getting Here page names Marble Arch in this context). They are the closest but very crowded, and at peak times they may be closed or exit-only. The organiser recommends the calmer Victoria, Bond Street and Paddington.
- With a pushchair or wheelchair: Green Park or Bond Street (lifts).
- On 26 December the Elizabeth line does not run. To reach Paddington you can then use National Rail and several Underground lines.

Buses, car, bike and taxi

- Car: the organiser advises against it. There is the Q-Park Park Lane car park (W1K 7TY, entrances from Park Lane and by Marble Arch). Don't park in residential streets. Blue Badge holders: parkingforbluebadges.com, tel. 020 8233 5400.
- Bike: there are Santander Cycles docking stations (including Hyde Park Corner, Knightsbridge, Wellington Arch, Speakers' Corner and Park Lane/Brook Gate). Pay-as-you-go e-bikes must not be left in the park; there is space for them on Marble Arch Island.
- Taxi: the nearest rank is on Park Lane opposite Brook House (busy). Other ranks: Hamilton Place, Piccadilly, Dover Street, Berkeley Street, Oxford Street, Orchard Street and Portman Square. You can't hail a minicab in the street; you have to book through a licensed company.
When it is quietest
The organiser suggests:
- It is calmest in Off-Peak slots: usually Monday to Wednesday during the day and Thursday to Sunday in the morning, before 12:00.
- Late November and early December are usually calmer than the last weeks before Christmas and the festive period.
- Peak means later hours and weekends. Allow extra time for queueing.
- The Red Gate entrance (the family one) is usually calmer than the others.
- Getting there: choose Victoria, Bond Street or Paddington, as the nearest stations may be closed or exit-only.
- What to wear: warm clothes and waterproof shoes. The queue for Father Christmas is outdoors.
Plans may change
Plans may change: check the organiser's website before you travel. This guide collects information from the websites of Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, The Royal Parks and TfL (as of October 2026). Dates, times, prices and ticket availability may change.
The organiser has not announced (as of October 2026):
- the programme for Family Fun Day on 3 January 2027,
- on-the-day entry prices,
- prices of individual rides (there are only passes and top-ups),
- the price of Bar Ice,
- the exact calendar of the Winter Wonderland Parade and the Christmas by Candlelight concerts (selected days).
TfL has not yet published the Christmas timetable for 2026 either.
